The lovely lady who portrays Elizabeth--Keira Knightley

Well, I started this long long ago, but never actually got around to finishing it until today! (today would happen to be 12/23/09!)

So Elizabeth Swann-Turner is portrayed by Keira Knightley. What do you know about this woman? How long has she been in the business of acting? How many other characters has she played?

Well, you can list your knowlegde of Keira in the comments below. But don't worry; I'll answer the questions I posed and a few other answers.
  • How long has Keira Knightley been in the acting business? Well, when she was six years old, her mother gave her an agent as a reward for studying hard in school. Then she appeared in television in 1993. She finally began to appear in movies in 1999.
  • How many other characters has Keira played? She's played 24 characters in movies, five of the movies either in production or post-production, to be released in 2010. Only one of her characters in a movie has gone uncredited. Keira's played 11 characters in television roles, two of the roles voice-overs. She also has done exactly one role onstage in theatre.
  • Keira Trivia: How many different movies has Keira Knightley played characters with the same name? Only four roles so far in her career has she succeeded this; all of them movie roles. First, two of them would be her characters "Juliette" in Bend It Like Beckham and "Juliet" in Love Actually (different spellings, same name). Her last two roles with the same name have the same spelling, and can you guess what it could be? Elizabeth! Her character is the Pirates of the Caribbean series and her role in Pride & Prejudice have the same name of Elizabeth.
  • Pirates Trivia: What other actor from Pirates of the Caribbean also appeared in Pride & Prejudice? Tom Hollander! He has worked in several movies with Keira. The roles are quite interesting. In P&P, Tom played "Mr. Collins" who was interested in marrying Kiera's character "Elizabeth". In Pirates, Tom plays--I can't believe I'm about to say this--"Lord Cutler Beckett" who despises Keira's role as "Elizabeth". (I have to say, that's an interesting change in heart there, buddy)

Aaaand that looks like a good question/answer to end on, so later readers!
